Inpatient Rehabilitation
The Parkview Rehabilitation Center at Parkview Hospital Randallia provides inpatient, therapeutic services for patients age 6 and older. The center is accredited as an inpatient rehabilitation program for children, teens and adults. We admit a variety of diagnoses, including stroke, brain injury and more.
Comprehensive Inpatient Medical Rehab
The Comprehensive Inpatient Medical Rehabilitation Program helps patients recover from illness or trauma that interferes with their ability to move, think and/or care for themselves. The center provides a full range of inpatient services and programs, using a team approach to assist patients in maximizing their potential. As a patient, you and your caregivers will work with the rehab team to create an individualized team care plan following an evaluation of your condition.
Individualized treatment is provided for a variety of conditions or disorders including but not limited to:
- Amputation
- Brain injury
- Physical disability
- Multiple trauma
- Neurological diseases like Guillain-Barré, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease
- Complex orthopedic conditions
- Spinal cord injuries
- Stroke
Peer visitation
The peer visitation program may be offered as part of your stay as a patient. Former patients volunteer to provide support to you and your family during your hospital stay. Volunteers are paired with patients according to the similarity of injury or illness.
Education
To assist in your recovery, you and your caregiver(s) will receive education from various members of the rehabilitation team through classes and support groups. Topics include: stroke risk factors, prevention, nutrition, safety, identification of depression, stress relief measures and many other subjects. Family members are encouraged to attend with you.
Patients with other diagnoses receive education by team members on topics specific to their individual condition and needs.
