Monarch® Robotic Bronchoscopy
Diagnosing lung cancer earlier through state-of-the-art technology
Lung cancer claims more victims each year than breast, colon and prostate cancers combined. In early-stage lung cancer, suspicious lung nodules tend to be very small and difficult to reach.
Parkview offers the state-of-the-art Monarch® Platform. This minimally invasive robotic technology was developed to diagnose early-stage lung cancer in patients with small, peripheral nodules located deep in the lung.
Monarch allows a safe, highly accurate and minimally invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedure. The bronchoscope is used to view the inside of the lungs and obtain tissue samples for biopsy, with the purpose of enabling earlier and more accurate diagnosis of small and hard to reach lung nodules.
The robotic bronchoscope allows physicians greater control and maneuverability deep in the lung where most small nodules are found. The integrated camera, irrigation and suction provides improved visibility, reach and control.
Our interventional pulmonology team specializes in providing this minimally invasive procedure with improved patient care and a shorter recovery time.
Talk with your physician to discuss if the Monarch® Platform could be used as a part of your care plan, or call 260-266-7856 to schedule an appointment to learn more about your treatment options.
