Inpatient Oncology Unit

Some patients may require hospitalization for cancer therapies. In Parkview Packnett Family Cancer Institute's inpatient oncology unit, you or your loved one can expect to receive compassionate care from experienced physicians, registered nurses and patient care technicians.

Treatments provided in the inpatient unit include: chemotherapy, biotherapy, internal radiation therapy and blood transfusions. Some patients may need to be hospitalized to help manage their symptoms, such as pain or infection. Private rooms are also available for patients who need palliative or hospice care.

How do I get to the inpatient oncology unit?

The inpatient oncology unit is not in the Parkview Packnett Family Cancer Institute, but it is still on the campus of Parkview Regional Medical Center. You can access the inpatient oncology through entrance 2A of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Take the elevators to the second floor and follow the signs.
