In May of 2015, Parkview unveiled plans to build a cancer care facility with a vision to be among the very best places to receive treatment for a cancer. Later that same year, ground was broken on the Parkview Cancer Institute, forever changing the landscape of the Parkview Regional Medical Center campus.
Just two years later, there has been a great amount of progress on the $100 million, 125,000 sq. ft. facility. In less than a year, the Parkview Cancer Institute will open its doors, providing to patients access to cancer care and resources that will be unparalleled throughout the region.
The Parkview Cancer Institute team of physicians, care providers and leaders have helped to guide more than just the construction of the facility. They have also simultaneously developed and introduced a new care model and are creating a culture that – in combination with the uniqueness of the Parkview Cancer Institute’s state-of-the-art design, technologies and resources – will truly make it, and the care provided, one-of-a-kind.
To better understand what makes the institute so unique, one must first revisit the vision, where it all began.
Beginning today, through the opening and beyond, we invite you to join us as we share stories with you that help to lay the foundation and further demonstrate what Parkview will soon, and in many cases, is already offering to patients and how this will forever change the way we provide cancer care.
