Not certified? You may qualify for the PPG Medical Assistant – Non-certified position, if you are enrolled or graduated from a medical assistant program that meets certification eligibility or have worked as a medical assistant five of the last seven years.
In Parkview Physicians Group practices, LPNs and clinic nurses may be hired to perform these same patient care responsibilities.

Parkview’s Medical Assistant Advancement Pathway (MAAP) is a professional development and career enhancement program for medical assistants who work as a care team within Parkview Physicians Group locations. The program rewards and recognizes those Medical Assistants who reflect higher-level clinical competencies and engagement.
MAAP establishes four levels of medical assistant competency. Upon employment, a new medical assistant will be employed at level 1 or level 2, based on their certification status. An application process is required for medical assistants seeking level 3 and level 4 status. The application process includes defined eligibility criteria and the recommendation from the PPG clinic manager.
