Parkview fosters an environment that values our clinical teams and focuses on quality, safety and patient outcomes.

Parkview Health Laboratories are accredited by the College of American Pathologists every two years. This distinction speaks to the commitment to service excellence. In addition, Parkview Health Laboratories participate in site surveys for certifications by The Joint Commission and other accrediting organizations at each hospital, as needed.

Lab locations are also inspected by the Indiana State Department of Health Inspections, the FDA and the FAA to demonstrate that Parkview Laboratories meet quality guidelines.

Operational capabilities

The Parkview Laboratories team is made up of medical lab scientists, medical technologists, lab technicians and phlebotomists with expertise in their roles. These team members use the latest automation technologies to provide a large volume of testing in various locations.

As a partner with Parkview’s Community Health Improvement Program, Parkview Laboratories support the lab needs of several community-based health organizations for individuals with no or inadequate insurance coverage.

Impacting patient outcomes

At Parkview, Laboratory team members assisted in 70-75% of all patient diagnoses in 2020.  

Parkview Laboratories perform diagnostic testing for nine Parkview-affiliated hospitals, as well as the Parkview Warsaw Emergency Department, Parkview Heart Institute, Parkview Cancer Institute, more than 300 physician offices in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio, 24 ambulatory draw sites, 75 nursing homes, three juvenile homes, five group homes, and many more clinical clients.

During 2020, Parkview Laboratories performed nearly 15 million lab tests. This contribution is vital to Parkview providers caring for individuals and families within our communities.
