Parkview Health Falls Registry
Primary:
* To identify risk factors in patient history among patients evaluated at the Fall Prevention Clinic.
Secondary:
* To compare the characteristics of adult patients who experience falls v/s those who do not.
* To review findings on examination (general and neurological) and testing (investigations) conducted for the patients experiencing falls during the hospital visit. As an example, this would include MRI/CT scans of the brain or lab results and relevant positive findings such as gait ataxia and leg weakness, and assignment of cause(s) of fall.
* To review findings on examination (general and neurological) and testing (investigations) conducted for the patients experiencing falls during the follow-up with the primary care physician. As an example, this would include MRI/CT scans of the brain or lab results and relevant positive findings such as gait ataxia and leg weakness, and assignment of cause(s) of fall.
